November 15. 2017 11:42AM

HOOKSETT — A Manchester man was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief after police said he trashed a room at the Firebird Motel on Bell Avenue Tuesday morning.

According to a release, officers were called to the motel at 10 Bell Ave. at 8:53 a.m., where they saw Ronald Mailhot, 38, coming out of a bathroom holding a nightstand over his head. Mailhot was disoriented and appeared under the influence of drugs, police said.

The entire room was disheveled, officers said, with all of the furniture and a window broken so Mailhot was arrested. He allegedly refused to comply with the booking process and was taken to Hooksett circuit court, police said.

Mailhot was held without bail and was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.
