Kingston library accepting donations for homeless vets

KINGSTON — The Kingston Community Library and two regional churches are sponsoring a drive to assist two veterans’ centers that serve homeless veterans in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The East Kingston Community United Methodist Church, the Peoples United Methodist Church in Fremont and the library are asking for the following items: soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, hand lotion, quilts, afghans and sleeping bags.

Donated items are to be dropped off at the Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane, Kingston, on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.; on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The drive will continue through Friday, Dec. 22, 2017.
