One person killed in two-car crash in Nashua

NASHUA — A two-car crash killed one and closed part of a main thoroughfare during rush hour Monday.

First responders came upon the crash on Broad Street near the intersection of Majestic Avenue between the adult drivers of two cars.

Police said the investigating is still continuing but it appears that one car crossed the center line into oncoming trafic and collided with the other.

A trauma team was activated for both drivers.

Nashua police officials confirmed that one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other driver remained in a local hospital for treatment Wednesday night, officials said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Nashua police at 594-3500.

Broad Street, which brings traffic to and from Hollis and surrounding towns, was closed between Tilton and Natick Streets for many hours after the accidents while authorities continued to investigate the matter.
