Paradis is NE-10 golf champ

October 04. 2017 2:12AM

Southern New Hampshire University sophomore Matt Paradis of Hooksett fired only the second even-par round of the tournament this week and went on to win medalist honors in a playoff hole at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London on Tuesday.

SNHU finished fourth. Bentley University won the team title.

After a three-over 73 first round that had Paradis tied for eighth heading into the final round, the Manchester Central graduate matched the lowest score of the tournament with a 70, forcing a playoff with St. Anselm College’s Stephen Hunt.

Paradis made par on the first hole to win the playoff and become SNHU’s first individual Northeast-10 champ since 2014 (Bedford’s Jake Nutter).
