HOOKSETT - A Manchester man who police were told had taken heroin was arrested on drug and motor vehicle charges when police found him in the lot of the Fairfield Inn early Thursday.

According to a release, officers had been called to the Firebird Motel for an overdose minutes before midnight Wednesday. After reviving the victim with Narcan and sending him via ambulance to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, police learned he had used heroin with a friend, who might be in a black pickup in the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn, police said.

Officers said they found Robert O'Rourke, 61, of Manchester, in a truck that had a registration decal and inspection sticker that did not belong to the vehicle. Officers also found a small baggie of heroin in O'Roure's sock, police said.

O'Rourke was charged with two counts of forged or altered decals and one count of possession of narcotics. He was released on $14,000 cash bail, police said.
