NH Golf: Mother, daughter win city titles
September 10. 2017 2:10AM
The mother daughter-duo of Paula Newton-Lorry and Johnna Lorry topped the scoreboard at the Manchester City Women's Championship last weekend.
Johnna Lorry shot 77 at Derryfield Country Club on Saturday to win the tournament, which was shortened to a one-day event when rain wiped out Sunday's play at Intervale Country Club.
It was Lorry's first city golf championship.
Five-time city champion Tara Watt was runner-up with an 83.
Paula Newton-Lorry's 85 crowned her as the senior champion for the second time.
Johnna Lorry and Paula Newton-Lorry are Manchester residents and Intervale members.
(Editor's note: The Union Leader erroneously reported in Saturday's edition that the women's city golf tournament had been canceled.)
