Bereavement groups, hospice training offered in Exeter

EXETER - Rockingham VNA & Hospice will begin fall bereavement support groups and hospice volunteer training this month.

Two six-week bereavement groups are scheduled:

. Mondays, Sept. 18- Oct. 23, 1 to 2:30 p.m., at the Epping Regional Health Center, 212 Calef Highway, Route 124, Epping.

. Tuesdays, Sept. 19- Oct. 24, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the RVNA & Hospice office at 137 Epping Road, Exeter.

The support groups will explore the grieving process and give those who are grieving an opportunity to meet in a supportive environment with others who are grieving.

The groups are free and open to the public. The minimum enrollment is four people and the maximum is eight. To register, call Molly Brewer at 772-2981

The hospice volunteer training is scheduled for Fridays, Sept. 15 through Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the RVNA & Hospice office in Exeter.

The classes will teach volunteers how to provide compassionate support to patients at the end of life and their families.
