NHIAA Roundup: Manchester scores 2, Windham tops Goffstown

Windham’s offense behind Livi Manchester is going to be a handful for most teams this season. Just ask Goffstown.

Manchester collected two goals in the Division II season-opening field hockey win for the Jaguars in Windham. Lex Slaski, Ryane Farrell and Kate Blaisdell each tallied a goal. Farrell had two assists.

Bishop Guertin 4, Londonderry 1: Sarah Coyle registered two goals and, Cassandra Zaino and McKenna Gosselin had added one at Stellos Stadium in Nashua. Courtney Shay tallied the lone goal for the Lancers, assisted by Allie Marsh. Makenna Leazer had four saves for BG (1-0) while Riley Walter had 15 for Londonderry (0-1).

Gilford 7, Bishop Brady 0: Kellie Ryan scored in first two minutes and finished with two goals and an assist. Nicole Berube added a goal and an assist.

Natalie Fraser and Randi Byars were solid on defense.

Girls’ soccer

Manchester Memorial 1, Salem 0: On Tuesday Melanie Presseau scored off a corner kick in the 28th minute.
