CENTER HARBOR — The Town of Center Harbor and the Center Harbor Community Development Association host their third annual family skating event and demonstration from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Town Public Beach area on Route 25.
Last year’s event drew 400 people, despite warm temperatures. This year the bonfire and public skating will begin at 1 p.m., with a demonstration with skaters from local skating clubs to follow at 3 p.m.
A snow-sculpting contest also is planned. Local restaurants, businesses and churches are providing complimentary hot chili, hot dogs, chowder, coffee and hot chocolate.
Family skating will run until 7 p.m. Parking is available by the town basketball court, in designated spaces in and around Main Street, and at Senter’s Market and Center Harbor Congregational Church Parking lot. For details, visit chcda.com or centerharbornh.org.
