Children and young at heart lace up to 'Color My World'

Skaters in “Color My World” at Plymouth State University's Hanaway Ice Arena Sunday will range in age from 3 to adult. 

PLYMOUTH — Magic Blades Figure Skating Club and Plymouth State Skating Academy will return to the ice for their annual exhibition, “Color My World,” at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Skaters from 3 years old up to adults will be performing.

Magic Blades is celebrating its 20th year as a Lakes Region skating organization. Plymouth State Skating Academy opened with the new PSU arena in 2010.

Both clubs are affiliated with the U.S. Figure Skating’s Learn to Skate USA program and share coaching and administrative staff.

“Color My World” also will feature guests from the Synchro Stars intermediate and pre-juvenile synchronized skating teams, as well as national competitor Kirstyn Nanista and international and Olympic competitor Elene Gedevanishvili, both students at Plymouth State University.

Tickets to the skating event are $5 for ages 13 and older and $2 for senior citizens and children ages 4 to 12.
