Blair Covered Bridge damage assessed, charges pending against Rochester driver of box truck

The Blair Covered Bridge over the Pemigewasset River in Campton was built in 1829 and had recently reopened after a $2.5 million overhaul. 

Campton — The historic Blair Bridge has sustained damage to 28 knee braces, with eight of them seriously damage, after a Rochester man drove his box truck through the bridge last week. Campton Police Chief Christopher Warn said that charges are pending.
