GE Aviation has received a $68.5-million contract to build 16 engines for the operational evaluation phase of Sikorsky Aircraft’s CH-53K King Stallion program. The GE38-1B-powered helicopter is the replacement aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps’ heavy lift fleet.
