Judge refuses to let Portsmouth teen go to already-paid-for college in Calif. while awaiting trial

HAMPTON — A judge is refusing to modify a home curfew placed on a Portsmouth teenager awaiting trial on charges that he drove drunk and struck two women, disrupting the suspect's plans to attend college in California. Judge William Delker denied the request even though the defense attorney said it would mean Gross-Santos will not be able to attend Berkeley City College, which he has already paid for.
