Pair indicted by Coos County grand jury over robbery, beating

LANCASTER — Two North Country men have been charged with a host of felony counts in connection with a beating and robbery that, according to authorities, left a Berlin man with serious injuries, including brain trauma.

A Coos County Superior Court grand jury indicted Brad Antone, 20, and Windy Ferron, 21, on charges of burglary, robbery and two counts each of second-degree assault for a series of alleged incidents on May 10 at the 183 Jericho Road home of John Russo in Berlin.

Antone, now an inmate at the Coos County House of Corrections in West Stewartstown, and Ferron, whose address is listed as 129 Mount Forest St. in Berlin, entered Russo’s home and punched and kicked him in the body, face and head while attempting to rob him of money and drugs, according to the indictments.

The alleged attack left Russo with multiple injuries, including a broken rib and the “traumatic brain injury,” according to the indictments.

Additionally, Ferron was charged with escape on May 19 from the Berlin Police Department that resulted in a foot chase prior to his capture. Burglary and robbery are Class A felonies, the remaining charges are Class B felonies.

In another indictment the grand jury handed up during its August session, Cheryl Noyes, 38, of 36 Hutchins Road in Orford, is charged with delivery of articles to prisoners on Nov. 11, 2013, at the New Hampshire State Prison.

Noyes, according to the indictment, brought contraband, the drug buprenorphine, to the prison on that date. The charge is a Class B felony.
