MERRIMACK — Police are seeking witnesses to a motor vehicle rollover just after 2 p.m. Tuesday on the Daniel Webster Highway that sent a Massachusetts man to the Catholic Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Merrimack police said Christopher Amico, 26, of 35 New Haven Road, West Roxbury, Mass. was out of his 1999 Ford Explorer when police and fire personnel arrived.
Emergency personnel found Amico’s vehicle on its side in the northbound lane, along with a broken pole with power lines.
Amico complained of injuries and was transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester for evaluation.
Public Service of New Hampshire was notified and both northbound and southbound lanes were shut down and traffic detoured for about two hours while crews stabilized the downed lines.The incident remains under investigation and Merrimack police are asking witnesses to contact Officer William Vandersyde at 424-3774.
Merrimack police sent out Nixle alerts about the road closure and were assisted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Merrimack Highway Department.
Merrimack police are urging residents and area motorists to sign up for the Nixle alerts to help them stay informed about future emergencies and road closures.
