And in the most hopeful sign yet that this president gets the nature of the threat, he insisted, “We will be vigilant and we will be relentless” in confronting “this hateful terrorism.” But beyond that he committed to “extract this cancer so it will not spread.” That can only be done with the full and unbridled use of American air power. We certainly hope this time he means it.
