Pope’s call-out Where’s the Muslim outrage?

Pope Francis’ mark appears to be on the recent call of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue for Muslim leaders to speak out and condemn the barbaric actions of the Islamic extremists who are murdering Christian and other religious minorities in their drive to create a new state.

The ISIS thugs are attempting to return the Mideast to a previous century where their heroes put to the sword anyone who failed to denounce their own religious beliefs in favor of allegiance to Mohammed. It is just the latest iteration of the radical Muslim scourge that has been attacking the West, and America in particular, since well before Sept. 11, 2001.

The council spoke of the “barbarity” and “unspeakable criminal acts” going on today.

“The plight of Christians, Yazidis and other religious and ethnic communities that are numeric minorities in Iraq demands a clear and courageous stance on the part of the religious leaders, especially Muslims, those engaged in interfaith dialogue and everyone of goodwill.”

“No cause can justify such barbarity and certainly not a religion,” said the Pontifical Council.

No cause indeed. Yet Muslim leaders are largely silent, and it has fallen on the Pope to give his assent to the use of force to stop the Islamist war.
