Rochester police release video footage of man in Dos Amigos robbery

ROCHESTER — Police continue to ask area residents for help identifying a man who robbed a downtown burrito restaurant Sunday evening.

Police Capt. Paul Toussaint said he hopes surveillance footage obtained from the nearby Federal Savings Bank will encourage someone to contact investigators with information about the man.

Police responded Sunday at 5:51 p.m. after employees at Dos Amigos, 15 Wakefield St., reported that a man demanded money from the restaurant.

While he motioned that he had a weapon, none was shown, according to police.

After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the man left the store and fled on foot. No one was hurt during the incident, according to police.

A police K-9 team was unable to locate the man, who was described as white, between 18 to 25 years old with brown hair and “scruffy” facial hair. He was about 5-11 and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans and sunglasses, according to police.

Anyone with information can contact the Rochester Police Department at (603) 330-7127 or leave an anonymous tip via the Rochester Crimeline at (603) 335-6500 or by texting Crimes (274637). In the body of the text, simply write TEXT4CASH followed by your tip.

All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards may be given for information leading to an arrest.
