RINDGE — Police are still searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman on the rail trail Wednesday, Rindge police Det. Jeffrey Seppala said Monday.
Police responded to the rail trail Wednesday around 1 p.m. for a report of a lone female jogger being assaulted by an unknown male. The offender ran off when the victim screamed, police said.
No other information is being released about the assault, Seppala said, saying the investigation is active and ongoing.
The victim described the assailant as a skinny white male in his 30s, about 5-foot-8. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark colored hoodie, which partially covered his face. The victim did not notice any facial hair, but believes his hair was brown, police said.
Seppala said anyone that may have any information or may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the area is being asked to call police at (603) 899-5009. Anonymous tips can be left at email@example.com.
