Keene woman charged with stabbing man she knows

KEENE — A Keene woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly stabbing a man at an Armory Street home.

Police said they responded to 69 Armory St. to find that Emina Hoti, 31, of Keene, had stabbed John Hanrahan, 57, of Keene with a knife.

Hanrahan was taken to the Cheshire Medical Center for treatment of a puncture wound to his torso, which police said was not life-threatening.

Hoti was charged with second degree assault and held without bail at the Cheshire County jail pending her arraignment in the 8th Circuit Court District Division in Keene.

Police said the stabbing is an isolated incident, saying Hoti and Hanrahan are known to each other, however, the case remains under investigation by Detective Joel Chidester and Detective Steven LaMears.
