GOFFSTOWN - A local family celebrated a very special reunion last week, where many met a long-lost member for the first time.

"It won't sink in right away," said Susan Sterling, who met her biological family at the reunion. "I can't quite grasp it. I mean, this is so much more than I could have ever imagined."

Members of the extended Alger family gathered this past week for a series of family reunion events. On Sunday, Aug. 3, they had a party at the home of Ava Aubertin. Aubertin is one of Sterling's biological sisters. Two of their sisters, Irene Simancek and Katherine LeBlanc, were also in attendance. There are 11 siblings total, but not all could attend.
