Red Sox lose to Cardinals in first game since World Series match-up


The Red Sox lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 on Thursday night. This was the first time both teams had met since the Sox beat the Cardinals in last year's World Series. Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright earned his 14th win, which ties him for the major league lead.
