Manchester trio arrested in thefts from North End cars

August 08. 2014 2:05PM

MANCHESTER — Two city men and a teen were arrested early Friday morning for allegedly breaking into cars after a suspicious patrol officer stopped the trio as they walked toward his cruiser while he was patrolling a North End neighborhood.

James Marcoux, 22, Clifford Williamson, 18, and a 16-year-old told an officer they were going to the home of a friend who lived on Smith Road when he stopped them about 12:45 a.m. near Hillhaven and Smyth roads.

The trio identified themselves and the officer confirmed Williamson was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear at a hearing in Hillsborough County Superior Court. He was arrested.

The officer also talked with the other two, who allegedly were in possession of two GPS devices, sunglasses, a folding knife and a set of car keys. Police said they admitted taking those items from vehicles parked in the area.

Marcoux and Williamson are charged with theft by unauthorized taking and receiving stolen property. The teen was released to his guardian and will be dealt with in the juvenile court system.
