Portsmouth police try to silence veteran officer speaking out about $2.7M inheritance scandal
PORTSMOUTH — Veteran police officer John Connors was served with a "notice of complaint" by his own department Tuesday night that says he's accused of violating three police policies because, according to his lawyer, Connors gave the Portsmouth Herald an interview. The notice served to Connors Tuesday night states a complaint was filed against him at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and accuses him of insubordination and malfeasance, as well as of violating the police department's media policy.
