Three-alarm fire destroys garage in Nottingham

NOTTINGHAM - A three-alarm fire destroyed a garage and workshop at 110 Kennard Road on Thursday, Fire Chief Jaye Vilchock said.

Vilchock said the garage was "fully involved" and threatening a nearby home when firefighters arrived about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. He said one adult occupant escaped the fire without injury.
A third alarm was struck for additional manpower to battle the blaze at the 2.400-square-foot garage at 12:30 p.m. and the fire was brought under control an hour later, he said.

He said the fire's cause has not been determined, but that the fire is not considered suspicious. The garage was a total loss and the home suffered minor damage, he said.
