"From the Forest Society's standpoint, we think there is a compromise, and what we've said is if you're going to build a private transmission line for the use of Hydro-Quebec it ought to be done in a way that doesn't do harm to New Hampshire and landowners," he said, noting that one alternative is to bury the line along transportation corridors.
