Goffstown man arrested in Manchester store assault, robbery

MANCHESTER — A Goffstown man was arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery and attempted first-degree assault in connection with an incident at US Convenience, 18 Rockland Ave.

Officer Chad Tennis said the store clerk, who was the victim, said he had been assaulted and robbed at knifepoint. Thapa Uddhav, 39, said a skinny white male, wearing all black, entered the store and, while holding a knife, demanded cash and scratch tickets .

Uddhav said he physically confronted the man and eventually chased him from the store. Uddhav suffered a minor injury but did not seek medical treatment.

The follow-up investigation by Detectives Patrick Houghton and Ken Loui led them to the Goffstown residence of Stephen J. Feeley.

Feeley, 23, of 31 Evergreen Drive, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and attempted first-degree assault at the convenience store, formerly known as Rockland Convenience.

Feeley was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in Ninth Circuit Court-Manchester District Division.
