Mary Chapin Carpenter returns to Prescott Park

Executive Director Ben Anderson states, “Bringing Mary to the park for another season is such a treat, and the park is the perfect venue to see this world-class talent in an unbelievably intimate setting yet again.” Carpenter will perform tracks from her most recent, and exquisite album, Songs from the Movie, released earlier this year as well as songs from her existing and highly acclaimed catalog.
As with all Prescott Park Arts Festival events, concerts are free and open to the public with a suggested $8-$10 donation. The renowned River House Restaurant Concert Series that will also feature acts like Ingrid Michaelson (July 27); The Lone Bellow (July 16); Houndmouth (July 23); The Wood Brothers, as part of the folk festival with Shakey Graves, Pokey LaFarge and The Stray Birds (July 25); Iris Dement (July 30); Martin Sexton (August 6); Hot Club of Cowtown (August 9); Loudon Wainwright III(August 13); Ruthie Foster (August 20); Taj Mahal (August 22); Chris Smither (August 23); The Wailin’ Jennys (August 27); Spirit Family Reunion (August 31); and Dr John & The Nite Trippers (September 13) Prescott Park Arts Festival is of course not limited to an exceptional summer concert lineup. Shrek the Musical can be enjoyed weekly from the Wilcox Industries Main Stage. Enthusiastic crowds, young and old embarked on an exciting journey with Shrek, Donkey and the rest of the fairytale cast. Shrek the Musical runs all summer long, Thursday through Sunday. Tables on the Federal Savings Bank VIP Seating Deck are available for reservations as of Monday, May 12, in addition to the blanket reservations in front of the Wilcox Industries Main Stage. Special discount pricing is available for Festival members. Space is limited.
