Bikers to remember the fallen
CONCORD — Bikers from the United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, France, New Zealand and New Hamsphire will participate in the sixth Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride on Saturday, June 28.
Riders will be united in remembrance of fallen heroes from the allied forces, past and present, who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The ride will leave from the New Hampshire Department of Safety, 33 Hazen Drive, at 9:45 a.m. Staging will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Two New Hampshire State Police motorcycle units will escort riders to the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen for a 10:30 a.m. ceremony. The ride is free and open to the public.
Honoring the event will be Major Frank H McCarthy, USMC (Ret.), and family members.
After conclusion of the ceremony, head to the American Legion Post 31, 11 Charles St., Penacook, for an all-you-can-eat barbecue. The cost is $5.
