MANCHESTER — A good Samaritan stopped to help out an injured man she saw on the ground Tuesday evening, conscious but bloodied, in front of Manchester Recycling, 87 Union St.

Melissa Edson of Manchester was in the area about 8 p.m. when she saw Josh Roberts of Manchester and stopped to help him. She immediately called for medical assistance and an ambulance took the man to Elliot Hospital for treatment of multiple facial injuries.

Police said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Investigators have no information regarding the assailant or assailants.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call police at 668-8711 or, to remain anonymous, Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040.
