Manchester man arrested after allegedly firing a gun during an argument
MANCHESTER — A 24-year-old city man was arrested on a felony charge after allegedly firing a gun during an argument early Saturday morning.
Michael McClain was charged with reckless conduct and was being held Saturday at Valley Street jail, according to police.
Capt. Jon Hopkins said the incident was unrelated to a recent string of gang-related shooting incidents on Maple Street.
Hopkins said police were called to the area of 844 Clay St. shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. Witnesses reported seeing a man involved in an argument point a gun in the air and discharge one round before leaving in a gold Nissan Altima. They described the shooter as a “light-skinned black man” wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, Hopkins said.
Shortly after, police officers saw a man matching that description walking in the area and arrested McClain.
