Investigation continues, details few in death of Lyman infant, injuries to sister
LYMAN – The State Police Major Crime Unit Thursday morning completed its investigation at a Quebec Road residence where, on Wednesday, a four-month old boy was found in “medical distress” and later died, and where his twin sister suffered significant injuries.
Jeffery Strelzin, chief of the Attorney General's Homicide Unit, said that no arrests have been made and that the results of an autopsy on the deceased child are still pending.
He added that the female infant remains in serious condition at a local hospital.
Strelzin said his office is not prepared to identify the victims nor the adult male and female who were in the house at the time of the incident and who called for help.
He confirmed the two are the children’s parents.
Although state police have finished processing the scene, Strelzin said that “they will be continuing with the investigation, which means they will be speaking with people to determine what happened.”
