CONCORD — Two candidates filed to run for Executive Council Tuesday on the fifth day of the eight-day filing period for state and federal office.
District 1 Executive Councilor Joe Kenney, R-Wakefield, filed to run for reelection.
Kenney, who won a special election in March to replace longtime District 1 councilor Raymond Burton, R-Bath, who died last year, said he has been focusing on the backlog of constituent requests.
“Every day since I was elected,” Kenney said, “I have been on the road around this district and I’ll continue to do so to meet people and help solve their problems.”
Also filing Tuesday was Robin Lane, D-Portsmouth, who filed for the District 3 Executive Council seat.
