Police say Newbury man had stolen tractor-trailer at his business

SCOTT HILL

NEWBURY - A local man who allegedly kept a stolen tractor-trailer at his trucking business was arrested Tuesday on charges of receiving stolen property and concealing the identity of a vehicle, state police said in a release.

Police said they found the $30,000 truck about 6 a.m. Tuesday at Hill and Sons Trucking, which is owned by Scott Hill, 51.

The truck was stopped in Vermont the day before for a routine safety inspection and Vermont authorities notified New Hampshire State Police that the truck may have been stolen, the release said.

Hill is scheduled to appear July 8 in Newport Circuit Court.
