Broderick to head Rudman Center
CONCORD - Former state Supreme Court Chief Justice John T. Broderick Jr. will step down as dean of the University of New Hampshire Law School to serve as the executive director of the Warren B. Rudman Center for Justice, Leadership and Public Policy, the school said Friday in a release.
Broderick, who took over as dean three years ago and guided the former Franklin Pierce Law School through its new affiliation with the University of New Hampshire, will change jobs on June 30, the release said.
"We've achieved what I set out to accomplish as dean - leading the integration of the law school with the university and enhancing its national reputation and ranking - and now I am excited to focus my energies on continuing to build the Rudman Center as a lasting legacy to the principles of bipartisanship and democracy that were so important to Senator Rudman," Broderick said in a statement.
The center, named after former New Hampshire Sen. Warren Rudman, "provides scholarship, training and opportunity for a new generation of leaders who cherish public service," according to the law school.
