Mass. man sentenced in 2013 Orange Street shooting
MANCHESTER — A Dorchester, Mass., man convicted of shooting a Manchester man in the face last year was sentenced Thursday in Hillsborough County Superior Court to 30 years to life in prison, according to a release from Hillsborough County Attorney Patricia LaFrance.
Richard Scott, 34, was found guilty April 10 of attempted murder in the July 26, 2013, shooting of Terrance Jackson at his 145 Orange St. apartment.
Jackson had told detectives that he and Scott were arguing over a debt and that Scott withdrew a handgun, said "take this" and shot him. He suffered a broken jaw when the bullet went through his chin and went into his collarbone.
