Lil' Iguana hosting kids' 'Crafty Cup' contest

NASHUA - Lil' Iguana's Children's Safety Foundation is hosting a craft-themed contest to encourage kids to be creative and to give the winner a brand new bike and helmet.

Entries in the Lil' Iguana Crafty Cup Challenge must be submitted by Saturday.

To participate, families must donate $1 at the new Lil' Iguana Resale Store, 472 Amherst St., Suite 11, to receive a Crafty Cup.

Then, the foundation says, children should decorate and transform their cup into something amazing - "turn it into a beautiful flower pot, stylish hat or paint it into a cute animal."

The next step is to take a photo of the creation and email it to, including the child's age and name.

The winner will be announced at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at the resale store's grand opening, farmer's market and craft fair.

The winner will receive a boy's or girl's bike and helmet, while all proceeds will go toward the nonprofit foundation's mission to prevent child abduction, abuse and serious accidental injuries through music-based programs designed for children ages 2 to 8.
