Holly Kathios allowed six hits over four innings and fanned three to lead Bishop Guertin of Nashua past Pinkerton Academy 5-0 in a Division I softball contest Thursday in Derry.
Kristina Terrazano pitched the last three innings, allowing two hits, two walks with four strikeouts. Kathios, Anna Casey, Gina Pustizzi (three hits), Terrazano and Bridget Soraghan each drove in a run. Lauren Phillips had two hits for Pinkerton. BG improved to 10-3. Pinkerton is 8-5.
Manchester Central 12, Nashua North 0: In a five-inning win, Central starter Sarah Lavallee allowed five hits, fanned eight and walked one. Lavallee and Kindred St. Germain each drove in two runs. Colleen O’Hara, St. Germain, Hannah Krafton and Victoria Krideras each had two hits to pace an 11-hit attack for 9-5 Central. Alley Fortin and Hailey Reed each had two hits for Nashua North (2-12).
Exeter 8, Timberlane 7, 9 inns.: Mikayla Livingston and Olivia Harnois highlighted a four-run, fourth-inning rally with run-producing hits for the Owls. Brittani Lamar had a fifth inning homer for Exeter. Livingston homered in the eighth to give the Owls a two-run lead. A throwing error allowed Exeter’s Sydney DeVogt and Keala Eichholz to score, tying the game at 6-6.
Timberlane regained the lead in the ninth on a hit from Christina Nye. Exeter won the game on RBI hits in the home ninth from Natalie Bruno and Julia Fieldsend.
Milford 14, ConVal 2: On Wednesday, Delaney Parker hurled a two-hitter over six innings and walked two. She fanned 11 batters. Jen Carson doubled in two runs in the second inning and finished her day with three hits and three RBIs.
Erin Tyrrell clouted a grand slam in the fifth inning for 5-5 Milford.
Pelham 9, Sanborn 5: On Wednesday, Sarah Ratcliffe collected two homers, a solo shot in the first inning and a two-run blast in the third inning.
Elissa Mogauro had three hits and two RBIs and Sarah-Jane Spicer added three hits. Pelham (7-4) had 14 hits against 9-4 Sanborn.
Windham 15, Goffstown 2: On Wednesday, Rachel Rogers led Windham with three hits and six RBIs. Nicole Nanof had a two-run homer for Goffstown. Windham improved to 10-3, while Goffstown dropped to 9-4.
Trinity 5, Pembroke 4, 8 inns: In Manchester Wednesday, Jenna Nalette doubled in Michelle Taylor and Hope Willard to power Trinity to its win. Freshman Autumn Lansiegn had 15 strikeouts in her start for Trinity. Aly Pascucci got the win for Trinity in relief.
Derryfield 18, Oyster River 2: In Manchester on Wednesday, 10-0 Derryfield was led by Polly Carter with six goals and four assists.
Brynn Polgrean contributed six goals while Madi Kochanek and Tess Regan each scored twice.
Bishop Guertin 19, Londonderry 4: In Nashua, Londonderry had two goals from Lewis Carroll and one each from Shayne Holland and Nick Yennaco. BG is 13-1 and Londonderry dropped to 8-5.
Connor Donahue had four goals and five assists and John Miller added three assists for BG.
Goffstown 13. Dover 2: Goffstown (8-2) defeated Dover (3-8) thanks to four goals from Jack Carney.
Peter Girard, Steve Dubois (two), Brad Chapdelain (two goals, two assists), Nick Ollila, Sam Shearin, Connor Bourque, Mitch Cusson, Christian Marquis and Jake Ollila each hit the scoring sheet.
Pinkerton 19, Nashua South 5: In Nashua, Evan Sweeney scored five goals and James Tulley added three goals in the win. Todd Billetter, Sean Delea and Brett Dattilo each had two goals for Pinkerton (11-3).
Steve Saucier and Zack Milot each scored twice and Jesse Clauss tallied once for Nashua South (3-8).
Derryfield 23, West 3: Mike Chiasson tallied five goals and six assists. Grant Alenson scored four goals while Jim O’Brien and Connor Jackson each had a hat trick. Griffin Phaneuf and Drew Johnson scored twice.
Tyler Zorn, Lee Sipes, Ben Groves and Matt Dubreuil each had one goal and Peter Thompson added two assists. Jonathan Child scored twice for West and teammate Joe Clements had one goal. Derryfield (13-0) entertains Hollis/Brookline (9-0) Tuesday at 4 p.m. for a first-place divisional showdown.
Exeter 12, Concord 6: In Exeter, Buddy Carr led the Blue Hawks with three goals and three assists. Jack Carr netted two goals and one assist. Isaiah Thompson collected two goals.
Tim Weinhold had three goals for Concord (3-10). Exeter is 7-5.
Souhegan 18, Manchester Central 7: On Wednesday, Mitch Hall led Souhegan (8-4) with six goals and four assists.
Jackson McCormack (three goals), Mark Beirne (two) and Connor Rowley (two) accounted for Central’s goals. Central is 2-11.
Bishop Guertin 10, Pinkerton 9: In the home ninth, Bishop Guertin (9-5) scored three runs to win. Andrew Mierzwa singled in one run and Eric Damphousse (two hits) reached on a fielders’ choice scoring Tim Donovan (three hits) with the winning run. Jason Ferlan had two hits in the win. BG had 13 hits.
Pinkerton’s Chris Gerossie and Connor Donohue each doubled and had two hits.
Pinkerton dropped to 9-5.
