If you are feeling out of control these days, with Affordable Care Act challenging your ability to provide medical service to your family and employees on one hand, and then looking towards the future and seeing Common Core crippling the next generation, there is an event you should know about. The VIP Reception begins at 6:00pm and the speakers begin at 7:00pm. The evening will benefit Liberty Harbor Academy, a school designed to provide students with a well- rounded liberal-arts education without sacrificing the students’ capacity to think for themselves (and a school that doesn’t subscribe to Common Core).

Liberty Harbor Academy is a private middle- and high-school in Manchester, NH that emphasizes continual learning, growing to your potential, and preparing students not just for one thing but for life as a whole. The Liberty Harbor education encompasses challenging academics, business knowledge, and character development. Rolling admissions for the 2014-15 school year are currently ongoing.

Betsy McCaughey, Ph.D., is the expert you see on Fox News and CNBC and in the pages of the Wall Street Journal explaining the 2,572-page Obama health law. Dr. McCaughey is one of the few people in the United States who has read the new law. With a doctorate in constitutional history from Columbia University, she is in a unique position to decode the legalese and explain what it will mean to you. Also a patient advocate, she launched a national campaign to stop hospital infections. Dr. McCaughey is a former Lt. Governor of New York and has taught at Vassar College and Columbia University.

Julianne Cooper, Ph.D., is a founder and president of Liberty Harbor Academy in Manchester, New Hampshire. Public speaker, radio personality, historian, and university professor, Cooper has a reputation for taking on the seemingly impossible and making it work. She holds several degrees including a bachelor’s degree in marketing, a master’s degree in medieval Europe, and a dual doctorate in American and European history from the University of New Hampshire. Finally, she completed her education with a theology degree from Harvard University. As a serial entrepreneur Cooper was president and CEO of Cooper/GK Advertising and Marketing, President of PublicVirtues, an Ethics Consulting firm, as well as amassing more than 25 years experience in directing educational programs and university teaching.

Ann Marie Banfield is a wife and mother to three children. She is a graduate of Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She is an educational researcher and advocate for academic excellence in education. She is a frequent guest on radio and television as well as a frequent speaker and lobbying against Common Core. She currently volunteers her time as the Education Liaison for Cornerstone Action.
