ELIOT, Maine — The federal Environmental Protection Agency has postponed a ruling on the town's petition to investigate sulfur dioxide emissions from the Schiller Station power plant. The EPA was initially expected to rule in November, but sought a six-month postponement until this past Thursday, May 8. However, on Thursday, an EPA spokesperson said the agency is "continuing to assess the petition."
