Ronald Fussell named associate school superintendent for Diocese of Manchester

MANCHESTER – The Rev. John R. Fortin, superintendent of schools, has announced the appointment of Ronald D. Fussell, Jr. as associate superintendent of schools for the diocese of Manchester.
He will begin his new role on July 1.
Fussell will be primarily involved in curriculum review and development, professional development programs for school administrators and faculty, and standardized testing.
“The Catholic Schools Office is very pleased that Mr. Fussell will be joining our staff,” Fortin said. “His proven abilities, especially in the area of curriculum development and review, will provide an invaluable asset to our schools as we work to strengthen our Catholic identity and mission.”
Fussell has several years of experience in education.
Since 2005, he has been vice principal for academics at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua. Since 2011, he has chaired the Professional Development Committee for the Catholic Schools Office.
This year, Fussell was recognized by the New Hampshire Music Educator’s Conference as the Administrator of the Year for his support of the arts.
Fussell earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Plymouth State University and a master’s degree in music from Oregon State University.
He also earned a master’s degree in educational administration from Rivier University. He is completing an doctoral degree in education at Creighton University.
