Guertin boys' lacrosse team routs Garden State squad

Alex Astarita collected three goals and an assist and Connor Donahue finished with two goals and four assists to help the Bishop Guertin of Nashua boys' lacrosse team post a 16-3 victory over St. Joseph of Metuchen, N.J., at the Derryfield School on Saturday.

Tom Hurley and John Miller each scored two goals for the Cardinals, who improved to 5-0. St. Joseph fell to 6-7.

Dom St. Laurent, Anthony Reale, Gage Sevigny, Nick Prunier, John Karanasios, Garrett Bozek and Michael O'Reilly were BG's other goal scorers.North 13, South 7: At Nashua, Tom Haller had four goals and an assist to help Nashua North improve its Division I record to 3-2.Sean Holmes scored three goals for North. Collin Morrow scored twice for South, which slipped to 1-4.Pinkerton 16, Exeter 6: At Pinkerton, Jake Lisauskas scored six goals and Evan Sweeney had four goals and two assists to lead the Astros to a 16-6 Division I boys' lacrosse victory over Exeter Saturday. Pinkerton (5-1) took a 6-3 lead to halftime before breaking out with a 6-1 third quarter to open the game up. Cam Hayward had 11 saves for the Astros.

Exeter was led by Buddy Carr, who had three goals and an assist.
