The work of individuals, businesses and public agencies in preserving Manchester's rich architectural and community history was recognized last week when the Manchester Historic Association presented its 22nd annual Historic Preservation Awards at a dinner ceremony at the Center of New Hampshire.

The recipients ranged from private homeowners to owners of a bakery and a landmark auto dealership to real estate developers and the city itself.

The awards, MHA Board of Trustees President Matt Kfoury said, are intended "to honor some of the historical value of some of the buildings in Manchester and to promote, preserve and ensure the history of Manchester."
