Portsmouth arrests 2 for heroin sales

PORTSMOUTH – After an investigation that lasted months, two local men were arrested for selling heroin and about $1,000 worth of heroin was confiscated.

Police said Patrick Pickford, 30, and Chandler Ricker, 19, both of 3 Sheridan Ave., were both charged with one count of possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Pickford was also charged with three counts of sales of a narcotic drug (heroin), and Ricker was also charged with one count of sales of a narcotic drug (heroin).

Pickford is out on felony bail from Maine for possession of heroin, according to police.

The investigation included confidential informants and undercover officers as well as information provided by community members, police said.

In addition to the heroin seized during the arrest, police said they also confiscated an undisclosed amount of cash and paraphernalia.
