Disgraced Democratic lawmaker addresses flight charge before parole board

Former State Representative James Ryan, D-Conway, who served as chairman of the House Transportaion Commitree while representing Franklin, was sentenced to state prison for theft in 2010. 

Jim Ryan, 57, was sentenced in 2010 to four to 12 years in prison for theft, forgery and passing bad checks while in charge of the state's Committee to Elect House Democrats. He was paroled in June.
