Oyster River officials tell parents student can't opt out of standardized tests

DURHAM — A Madbury family is trying to convince officials at Oyster River Middle School that they have the right to have their children opt out of the school's standardized tests — but district officials disagree, saying it's the law. Coppola, who had been an educator for 14 years, says she has seen how these tests can affect students.
