Second inmate walks away from transitional housing unit

CHAD LAWLOR

CONCORD - A second minimum security inmate from the Correctional Transitional Work Center has failed to return from a work detail and has been placed on escape status.
Chad William Lawlor, 39, of Orange, Mass., was last seen at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the New Hampshire State Prison's farm at 314 N. State St., Concord.
He is described as white male, 5-foot-8, 257 pounds, partially bald with hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing his green prison uniform.
He is currently serving a 2 ½- to 7-year sentence from Merrimack County Superior Court for assault by prisoners on staff. He began serving this sentence Dec. 22, 2012, and is eligible for parole on June 19, 2015, with a maximum release date of Dec. 20, 2019. His previous convictions include 6 to 20 years for forgery and receiving stolen property from Cheshire County Superior Courts. Those sentences end Feb. 14, 2026.
The N.H. Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 271-1801.
