Danville fire victim identified

DANVILLE — The state Fire Marshal’s Office on Tuesday confirmed the identity of the elderly woman who died Monday in a fire as 88-year-old Audrey Anzalone.

The fire destroyed Anzalone’s home and a Meals on Wheels driver who was delivering a meal to Anzalone when the blaze broke out said he believed Anzalone was in the home at the time of the fire.

During the fire, Kingston Fire Chief Bill Seaman said they believed there was an elderly woman trapped in the house.

Investigators from the state fire marshal’s office were on the scene on Tuesday, but no cause had been determined, according to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
