Lancaster man indicted on manslaughter, negligent homicide charges
LANCASTER — A Lancaster man who punched another man on New Year’s Eve, resulting in that man’s death, has been indicted on one count each of manslaughter, negligent homicide and first degree assault.
A Coos County Grand Jury indicted Steven Dupont, 47, of Lancaster, on those charges Friday.
According to published reports at the time, the incident occurred at 4:05 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2013 at 4 Elm St. in Lancaster.
The indictments state that Dupont punched John Kenney, 57, in the face, which resulted in Kenney falling to the ground and receiving blunt impact head injuries that killed him.
Negligent homicide is a class B felony, first degree assault is a class A felony and manslaughter is a class S felony.
Several indictments for assault and sexual assault were handed up, including two counts of first degree assault against Steven Austin, 34, of Colebrook. The indictments allege on Dec. 18, 2013 he caused a serious head injury with a sword.
Dennis Faulkenham Sr., 50, of Groveton, was indicted on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of incest. The assaults allegedly took place between 1991 and 1996 and were against a female who was a member of the same household and was between 13 and 17 years old at the time.
Julian Glass Jr., 21, of Berlin, was indicted on one count of first degree assault. He allegedly caused injury with a razor on Jan. 10.
James Lapre, 40, of Londonderry, was indicted on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. The assaults allegedly took place in Berlin between 2008 and 2010 against the same victim, who was under 16 at the time.
Brian G. Haynes, 19, of Pittsburg, and Justin C. McKeage, 22, of Colebrook, were each indicted on two counts of second degree assault.
Other indictments include the following:
Crystal Blodgett, 26, of Berlin, indicted on one count of accomplice to the crime of robbery.
William A. Burke, 24, of Berlin, was indicted on one count each of robbery and tampering with witnesses and information.
Tyler Crawford, 19, of Dixfield, Maine, was indicted on one count of theft of services.
Jason E. Paquette, 37, of Hillsboro, was indicted on one count of criminal threatening.
Dana P. Roy, 23, of Milan, was indicted on one count of controlled drug act, acts prohibited.
Jeremiah Sargent, 18, of Groveton, was indicted on two counts of forgery and one of criminal liability for the conduct of another. On June 17 in Groveton he allegedly forged a check on the account of another person, convincing another person to help him.
David A. Veillette, 32, of Berlin, was indicted on one count of controlled drug act; acts prohibited.
