NH firefighters to honor Salem fire captain at wake, funeral
SALEM — Salem Fire Capt. Stephen McKenna will be laid to rest in Keene on Tuesday.
Firefighters from Salem and throughout the state are expected to honor McKenna, who died at the age of 54 of cancer on Tuesday.
The wake is scheduled for Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 3 Marlboro St., Keene, according to Salem Fire Chief of Operations Paul Parisi.
There will be a firefighter walk-through at the wake at 5 p.m. Parisi asks any firefighters who want to take part to gather at the Keene State College sports complex on Krif Road at 4 p.m. and to wear their Class A uniform with white gloves and mourning badge tab.McKenna's funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Bernard's Church on Main Street in Keene.
